Brian Mandell is an entrepreneur who built a business selling rare and hard-to-find shoes after overcoming the obstacles he faced following minor cannabis convictions. A North Country native, Brian has lived in the Adirondack region his entire life. He has worked with New York's Social Equity Cannabis Investment Fund's design-build team to create a space that captures the spirit of the Adirondack region.

This location is an adaptive reuse of a former strip mall. The unique build out of this location features two wing rooms that can be used to showcase merchandise and tell the story of Potsdam, creating a unique shopping experience for customers. Photographs of historic Adirondack fire towers and mountain views create a nostalgic experience for local residents. Brian has expressed gratitude to the Fund for its support, noting that he would have had significant challenges leasing and constructing his location without the Fund’s assistance.
