Opportunity Programs Group

DASNY’s Opportunity Programs Group (OPG) identifies contracting opportunities for historically disadvantaged and diverse small businesses in construction, professional services, and commodity purchases.

OPG leads DASNY in meeting New York State’s contract utilization goals of 30% for Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and 6% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs). Over the past five years, DASNY has consistently exceeded these goals.

OPG ensures all DASNY contracts with MWBE and SDVOB participation goals are assessed and include terms that encourage meeting these goals. OPG also supports DASNY’s strategy to achieve New York State targets in compliance with Executive Law Articles 15A and 3B.

OPG's specialized services Include:

  • Regulatory and Contract Compliance
  • External and Internal Engagement
  • Technical Assistance
