New York State Homes and Community Renewal and the Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley today announced that the final phase of the Center’s $900,000 renovation is complete, allowing the organization to expand and better serve more than 1,500 people each year seeking support for a variety of physical, intellectual, and emotional disabilities. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the completion of a $5.6 million supportive housing development for chronically homeless individuals living with HIV and AIDS. The new 26,000-square-foot Albany Damien Center will provide 20 permanent supportive apartments - 18 studio apartments and two one-bedroom apartments - for 22 chronically homeless people living with HIV/AIDS.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the opening of the new $7 million pavilion at the Cave of the Winds at Niagara Falls State Park. The interactive facility, which highlights the natural and cultural history of Niagara Falls, will provide a new year-round attraction in the park and help extend the tourism season.
