DASNY is soliciting bids from Single Prime Roofing Contractors for the following Scope of Work to be performed at the Broome Developmental Center, OPWDD Broome DDSO Buildings 3 and 4.
This contract is for the removal and replacement of the existing roofs for a portion of Building 3 and entire roof of Building 4. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the abatement of hazardous materials related to the removal of existing materials, concrete deck restoration and infill, removal and reinstallation of rooftop equipment and skylights, masonry repairs and sealant replacement and providing a new multi-ply built up roofing system on rigid insulation, with any and all related flashings, trim and accessories complete as documented in the Construction Drawings and Project Manual. Primary roofing system may not be subcontracted.
It is anticipated that work will commence in Spring 2023 and be completed by November 17, 2023.
The estimated construction cost for the Base Bid is between $4,500,000 and $5,250,000.

The bidder or its principals shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience in similar work and five (5) contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity to this Project completed or substantially completed within the last ten (10) years.
