DASNY is soliciting bids for the Building 1 Inpatient Renovations located at the Capital District Psychiatric Center, 75 New Scotland Avenue in Albany, New York.
The project consists of the following items within 5 inpatient spaces:
General Construction / Asbestos Abatement Contract CR 5 - estimate value $6,150,000 – $6,500,000
The general construction contract includes selective demolition including asbestos abatement, earthwork including slab on grade concrete, underground drainage & insulation, roof protection & patching, window removal & stair tower control at each phase. Interior construction including partitions, door frames, doors, hardware, glazed openings, access doors, firestopping, stair renovations including railings, interior finishes including flooring, ceilings, painting, tiling, built in casework, and special purpose seclusion room padding are also included in the scope of work. The general construction contractor will also be responsible for the temporary storage area, temporary fencing, & common use field office for the project & the restoration of all disturbed areas at the completion of the project.
Electrical Construction Contract CR 7 estimate of $2,750,000 – $3,000,000
The electrical construction contract consists of selective demolition, new electrical service & distribution conduits, boxes, hangers, supports, insulation & misc. accessories, through wall firestopping, access doors & communication and security renovations. Also included in the scope of work is interior lighting, fire alarm & detection system revisions, electrical connections to equipment furnished by all other contracts and temporary conditions including power service, lighting, fire alarm, etc.
Plumbing Construction Contract CR 4 estimate of $850,000 – $925,000
The plumbing construction contract consists of selective demolition, new piping, hangers, supports, insulation & misc. accessories, domestic water distribution, sanitary waste distribution, storm water distribution, plumbing fixtures, fire protection systems, access doors & plumbing connections to equipment furnished by other contracts. The plumbing scope also contains temporary facilities & controls for temporary toilet connections to existing systems, wash facilities, and drinking water facilities as required.
HVAC Construction Contract CR 6 will be awarded with an estimate of $550,000 – $600,000
The HVAC construction contract consists of selective demolition, new HVAC systems including hangers, supports, insulation & misc. accessories, new equipment, GRD’s, instrumentation & controls, testing, adjusting, balancing, through wall firestopping, access doors, building management system renovations & mechanical connections to equipment furnished by all other contracts.
The project is scheduled to be substantially complete on or before September 27, 2024.
